international music system or ims or int'l music system often abbreviated but never... well you get the point is a trio of rebecca mclain, george stefani and paul limoli. their music varies from italo to synth to electronic but clearly the group's main objective as music engineers is to start a new adventure across the world of electronic dance(as noted on the back of this lp). this particluar mini-album was released thru "bellaphon" records of germany but there were two other releases that contains all 6 songs besides this one. there was the ims records perhaps(an italian dance label) if not their own and the other one was from the netherlands on high fashion music, dureco benelux.
second single from smalltown parade's 1991 allbum called "get beautiful" on deltic records. comprised of paul bevoir, simon smith, robert moore and simon taylor, this quartet also released a cd compilation of their own songs in "hippy heaven" the best of, which can be purchased here digitally or in any music store where available.
here are four lads just going through the motions with their sole single from cobra records in 1979. also known as the punk outfit the skunks, comprised of clive pierce, frank cornelli, gerry lambe and hugh ashton, who called themselves craze. the band went on to release another single in 1980 callled "lucy", curious what that one sounds like. both motions and the flipside has very powerful distinct bassline, very interesting considering the year it was released... typical of what the rest of the early eighties band would sound like. this particular single was produced by the who's pete townsend, to whom the band were very thankful to have on their side during and before the release. you can read more about the band on their official myspace site here.
