die laughing - swept away 7" 1988

a single from the late eighties on m.a.x. records in australia produced by spencer lee and kevin stanton  for stanlee music production later released on a cd in 1990. not sure if  there was a 12" format of this particular song, if there is.. then kill me now cos i have been looking for it for ages now and i would surely love to have one. it's a  very good song and would be awesome to have a longer remixed version of it.

the field trip - falling down again ep 1991

here's one shoegaze psychedelic act i was not aware of, a quintet from england whom all three of their singles came out in the early nineties, all on ironbridge shropshire's very own watercolour label. what they brought to the table was something very familiar to my ears, a mixture of rugby's the darkside and early spiritualized materials. that being said, one of the field trip's single was mixed and produced by sonic boom the man behind spacemen 3 alongside j. spaceman..., the godfathers of shoegaze next to my all time favorite "the jesus and mary chain".

yellow6 - perception received 7" 1998

if i'm not mistaken this was the first single from yellow6, a two song cut released a year before the band's very first  album was released. an experimental-post rock single very reminiscent of loveliescrushing, another outfit i am very fond of. yellow6 is a one man project of jon atwood, this particular single is one of seven part of the stress free 7" series by enraptured 45's label in the uk, distributed by cargo.

the brigade - product of evolution 7" 1984

the only release i know from these native mancunians. a single from 1984 recorded at commercial sound studio in manchester on streetwise records(a manchester-based indie label) in dukinfield. a self-produced single not too far away from punk or other kin but it is still indie to me.

flying color - dear friend 7" 1987

a single taken from the "flying color" album in 1987. though it was previously released a couple of years earlier in america under cryptovision records as the "look my way" single, instead the uk version on shigaku records has the flipside on the a side, which is more appropriate in my opinion. but both tracks will have samples and you'll be the judge. the only album recorded by this san fran band was re-released in a digital format in spain in 1996 under munster records along with three extra tracks not included in the original album.

the cat's miaow - j'en ai marre 7" 1996

yet another offerings from this six-piece indie pop outfit from down under. founded in melbourne, australia the tcm is comprised of (at the time of this release) kerrie - vocals, andrew - bass guitar, bart - guitar, cameron - drums, a.d. - trumpet and robert handles organ. the cats released several records in the nineties under different labels, spit and a half, darla, toytown to name a few... but this one was their only single from the drive -in records of the usa, real calming down tempo music for a lazy sunday afternoon(if i can only understand what the're singing about).
