the law...
where the music is never too enigmatic for anorak pop, too heavyweight for tweepop, too sophisticated for c86, too sinful for madchester, too simple for indiepop, too complicated for new wave, too deep for postpunk and too precisely engineered for synthpop! it's indie done right.

julia p. - the law 7" 1999
all songs beautifully written, carefully arranged and could not be perfectly performed otherwise by julia p. recorded for anyway records in columbus, ohio in 1998 and released a year later. 'the law' for some reason sounds so familiar that it almost sounded like a cover song to me, it's kinda like being introduced to someone you swore you've met before, dejavu. anyway i don't know much about julia p. except she's a very talented songwriter and that maybe of a dutch origin from amsterdam and her music is utmost independently universal.
